The Linda James Foundation is honored to join the Africa Rally 2025 in partnership with the Hero Burn Foundation, embarking on a journey that is about far more than crossing borders. It is not just about recognition. It's about care. It’s about the people whose names we barely know—the caregivers who give their lives to supporting others, especially burn survivors.
These caregivers are the quiet force behind healing. They are the hands that dress wounds, the voices that soothe pain, and the hearts that remain steady through trauma and recovery. And yet, despite their dedication, they often go unseen, unsupported, and uncelebrated.
At LJF, we believe caregivers are not just helpers—they are healers. Without them, recovery would remain a concept rather than a lived experience. That’s why, through our participation in the Africa Rally 2025, we are setting out to honor, support, and uplift caregivers in rural communities along the route.
Our mission is anchored in three guiding pillars: Sustainability, Education, and Well-being. Through meaningful engagement, practical support, and heartfelt acknowledgment, we want to make sure caregivers feel seen and valued—not just during this rally, but for the long haul.
The Africa Rally gives us the platform to take real action. This is a hands on approach . It’s personal. We will be connecting with local caregiving communities, and offering tangible tools to help them care, not only for others, but for themselves, too.
Because no caregiver should be expected to pour from an empty cup.
In partnership with the Hero Burn Foundation—an organization that has dedicated years to burn survivor care and advocacy—we aim to create a ripple effect of recognition and change. Together, our shared vision and values make this mission not only possible but powerful.
