Africa Rally 2025: A Mission of Care

From 5–26 July, the Linda James Foundation joins the Africa Rally 2025—a 21-day, 7-country, 18-city journey from Hartbeespoort Dam to Mbita, Kenya.

This isn’t just about crossing borders.

It’s about burn survivors and the caregivers who walk the long road of healing beside them.

The Reality of Burn Recovery

Burn injuries leave more than physical scars—they impact survivors emotionally, socially, and financially.

The Hero Burn Foundation has been a lifeline for burn survivors across South Africa, offering:

Trauma and recovery support
Medical care resources
Reintegration programs
Peer and family networks

But behind every survivor is someone just as essential—a caregiver. This is where the Linda James Foundation comes in.

The Unseen Heroes

Often, family members or volunteers, caregivers:

Dress wounds
Offer emotional support
Stand steady through trauma

They are rarely trained. Seldom recognized. Almost never supported.

And yet, without them, healing wouldn’t happen.

We're here to change that.

6,000+ Kilometres of Purpose

Together with the Hero Burn Foundation, we’ll travel over 6,000 km through 7 countries and 18 cities, connecting with rural communities and activating support for caregivers and burn survivors.

Our mission is grounded in three pillars:

We’ll be:

Spotlighting burn survivor stories
Equipping caregivers with self-care resources
Reducing stigma and building resilience in under-resourced areas
Hosting stop-point activations with mental health support, first-aid kits, and practical tools

Because no caregiver should ever be expected to pour from an empty cup.
